I have just found a Toshiba flash which I forgot I had. It is an ES-38L

It seems to work but looking at the back, you need to be a space shuttle pilot to work out all of the controls.

Does anyone have one of these and/or the instruction manual?

If so would it be possible to send me details e.g. a scan or an edited version of how it works?

Thanks,

Steve.

I can't find a manual anywhere. But if you could email me a picture of the back of the flash may be I could figure it out. I am no space shuttle pilot but may be?

O.K. Heres a picture of the back as requested:

I can work out the manual bit and that the three colours on the auto setting switch (middle) relate to the three large coloured blocks around the dial but I'm not sure what the smaller coloured dots around the dial are for, what the W and S markers at the ISO setting mean or what the bank of five leds at the right are for.

If this makes any sense to you, please enlighten me!

Thanks,

Steve.

Wow. That's why I don't use flash. I still have an SB 24 unused in the box.

Seriously Steve, if you check out this web page you might find a manual for sale www.craigscamera.com

Just follow the links.

Good Luck,
Mike

I think I am stumped. I think the W is for when you use the wide angle adapter so S must be standard??? But then it doesn't explain the dots and the rectangular indexes.

how about dots are for standard lenses, filled boxes for wide angle adapter?
