Toner Question(s)

Was toning on IMGWT last night, love the results but now what the heck do I do with the toner? I was using Agfa Viradon, yes the smell was bad but the color was what I wanted. I do not live in the city so what options do I have for disposal of the toner.
Also, had a good lesson with paper speed - the print I was working on was originally printed on IMGIV, but when I printed it on IMGWT the exposure time almost doubled - all other factors the same. Is this normal?

Why dispose of it? Put it in a bottle, cap tightly, and use it again next time.

My Viradon (old formula) is going on 15 years now and still going (and smelling) strong! Anything which smells THAT bad can't possibly go off

Yes, MGWT is a stop slower. It's in the specifications, on the little slip of paper inside the packet...

I've found that printing Ilford Mg WT with Zonal Pro warm tone developer at 1:10 and then fixing and washing etc normally, then toning in selenium 1;9 gives a nice warm brown tone.

I have had mixed results with Virdon and also the smell permeates the pores of your DNA.

Just a thought, give it a try.

You might prefer, if not the appearance, the odor of selenium toner. It's no worse than the bottom of a long-neglected cat litterbox.
