Dektronics just announced that their budget-friendly UV/Vis densitometer is now shipping. It measures film transmission density using either UV or ortho light, as well as reflection density. I've had one for several months and find it superior in many ways to my XRite 361T. The Dektronics is more accurate, can measure UV transmission density reliably up to 4.00, doesn't require time to warm up, doesn't drift, comes with a calibration strip (you're lucky to get one with a used 361T), has a USB interface for sending measurements to a text file, and comes without the risk involved in buying a 30-year old 361T on eBay. And it's less than half the price of a used 361T. With a bit of DYI effort, a platform can be added, converting it from hand-held to a benchtop type instrument like the 361T.
