I just got a NC2 from KEH. It came wit a -1d/90 -3D 45 diopter installed. Is this a neutral diopter for the finder?? I know most cameras ship with a -1 diopter installed, but I thought this finder was 45 degree, which would make it be a -3 diopter. Thoughts? Just don't want to have the focusing out of wack. Looking through the finder, I don't have any problems focusing, but I haven't shot any film with it to see if it's out of focus either. With my glasses or contacts on I have 20/20 vision.

Thanks!

Do not worry, the wrong diopter does not induce focus error, apart from the fact that the wrong diopter can make it impossible for your eyes to properly see the viewfinder sharply. Focus accurace is on the textured surface of focusing screen -- no matter if your vision of it is blurry or not.

Pull the lens off the body and look into the viewfinder. If you can clearly see the edges of the focusing aid (split screen or microprism) and you see clearly any status displays in the viewfinder, you are fine
