I recently added a Minolta X-700 to the herd of 35mm SLRs hanging around the house. It came with a couple Rokkor lenses...a 50mm f/1.7 MC and a 28mm f/2.8 MC. All in good condition...

I haven't used it much but, the few rolls I have shot with it seem to have an unusual color cast to them...I'm not sure how to describe it..the prnts just look like there is a little too much blue - almost cyan but, not every photo on the roll.

I have never seen anything like this before with any of my other brands of 35mm...

Coincidence? or is there something different about the color balance of the Minolta glass?

Why are you judging a lens for color cast with print film? You've no control over the printing process.

Try a slide film and use a light table that's color corrected.

Never had a tint prob in over ten years unless I one houred a roll of bw400cn. They would come out blue almost every time and I would have redone.

your lab is printing more cyan than you prefer. Ask to have the prints re-done.

Thanks. This is kinda what I thought too...probably not the lens.

Three of the suspect rolls were simply dropped off at the local super market. Family snap shots don't usually make it to the pro lab across town.
