SOLD, a wonderful Leica M2 button rewind camera body in top condition, serviced by the top independent Leica camera repair technician, Don Goldberg (DAG), in April of this year (documentation provided). S/N 930901, produced in 1958. Don overhauled the shutter and film take-up systems, adjusted the rangefinder and checked the camera for overall good working order. I subsequently had him replace the original chipping vulcanite with an OEM equivalent cover. Viewfinder/rangefinder are super clear and contrasty with no haze, really good as new. I can tell you the shutter release is smoother than any M camera I have ever tried, you will be amazed. Film winding is also very smooth and effortless. The camera has NO dents or dings anywhere and looks fantastic (see photos). Camera comes with correct vintage body cap, original instruction manual and instructions-in-brief and will be carefully packaged for shipment. Asking $1195, PayPal’d and shipped with insurance to the USA. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for your interest.

I would jump on this camera like a dog on a bone if I didn’t already have M3,4 and 5. All but M3 bought new. Funny when you think about it, I remember the M2 was introduced as the budget model, but through the years has become more and more desirable. Don does great work. Several years ago he serviced all my Ms and Leicaflexes. They run like new.

Thanks. IMHO, there is nothing "budget" about this camera. To me it's as good as a MP, just without the meter. Don did do a great job on it, of course he always does a great job. I don't send my Leica stuff to anyone else, especially YY or other self-trained so-called "specialists."
