Trendland, right away: no harm done.

About the huge investment required for researching your own color developer kit: yes, it's quite a bit of work, much more than what I have been able to put in so far, but Stefan Lange (stefan4u here on APUG) definitely did not require an 8 digit investment plus commercial property to find his personal (there was a url link here which no longer exists) and (there was a url link here which no longer exists) formulas that would satisfy control strips.

You are right Rudeofus - I Know stefan4u.
Excellent work !
But to top Kodak E6 chemistry even Kodak will spend enourmous resouces.
We will see this perhaps at the end of the
year with Kodak Ektachrome.
May be Kodak will have a little set up with new E6 chemistry.
Don't want to know these cost (from Kodak for researches).
I can imagine that PE. have an idea from
enormous investigations of Kodak in the past as I read many of his statements.

with greetings to you Rudeofus

You do realize, that all current photo chemistry sold under the Kodak brand is made by Tetenal, yes! So you can look forward to buying Kodak branded Tetenal Colortec E-6 or Tetenal branded Colortec E-6

Does this include the chemistry that has "Made in China" labeling?

I did not know this.A few years ago - after Kodak stopped E6 films totaly - I just noticed their statement that films
were off but Kodak made clear that their
complete E6 chemistry is still avaible - and they will not discontinue other chemistry wich have been additionaly
in production.
What means "in production" today ?
To china : I still wonder some years ago
aboud chemistry made in China.
It seams to be so that every big player
in the US .... AND in Europe has most parts of "dirty chemistry" outsourced.
And in china the enviromental rules are
less strong.We all know this.
As most parts of a product are made in china and asembled in GB sometimes just customized in GB it is labled : "Made in the UK".

If this is so Matt - it would imply that Kodak has parts of productIon complete in china - including customizing.
I have not noticed this till now but it may be so.
What I have noticed is that some canisters of Ilford bw chems are complete the same as from Tetenal.
This should first nothing to say - but
some Ilford products seams to be produced from Tetenal.
May be also in other direction ?

Regarding this globalized world some could feel ........:sick:.. !

with regards
