a Photo Trekker AW II. Any tips on the best way to pack it?

I have the standards parallel to the rail but beyond that, I'm not sure how to get the optimum space out of my pack and would love to hear your suggestions, experiences, tips, etc.

I would think that you could get your best use out of the space by removing the standards from the rail altogether and packing it on top. I have a Nature Trekker AW and made one section for my camera, one for film and other accessories, and the remainder is where my lenses go, still mounted on their boards.

Yeah? How long does it take you to set up in the field doing it that? Not that it matters, I reckon, so long as you can get to the field with all your stuff LOL

p.s. Tried to email you a couple of times but somethings wonky and I keep getting mailer daemon delivery failure notices. Uuugghhhh!

Hmmm, not sure about the nature trekker. I have the stealth backpack from Lowepro, and the LE fits in there with the standards parallel to the rail with no problems. In fact I have the camera in the main compartment along with two lenses, the bellows, dark cloth and polaroid holder in the other big compartment, and 5 holders in the largest outside pocket. There is an additional small pocket that holds my Pentax meter, cable releases, etc. The Nature trekker may be a little too narrow to be able to hold the camera with its standards on the rail. I'll look at one of them tomorrow at the store and see if I can come up with some sort of brialliant plan...

That'd be great, Isaac, thanks! But just to clarify, I've got everything in the pack; Standards are on the rail and I've got the essentials in there. I'm just thinking that perhaps there's a more efficient way to pack it... I dunno. It's one heavy SOB, I'll tell you that much! No need to work out ever again - just strap that badboy on and walk around a bit

Sorry, the Toyo I have is a folding camera, not one on a rail.
