(SCIM - shadow contrast increase mask)
This may be old news - apart from APUG I'm kind of working in a vacuum - but I just added a whole bunch of SNAP! to my last SCIM. Giving it 3 minutes in a 1:20 solution of rapid selenium toner added quite a bit of density (relatively speaking) to the parts of the SCIM that will affect the prints lowest values. It's washing right now, but I forsee even more shadow detail.
Before someone says it...yes it could be I didn't make the SCIM right in the first place...but it does add another arrow to my quiver, and I thought others might want to know.
