Hi,
My Slik 88 tripod is showing its age and cracks have appeared around the pins of the three lower leg clamps (not the upper ones for some reason). Does anyone know where I might buy new ones? I've found plenty of places on the web that sell the quick release gizmo, but so far no mention of the clamps. I'm in UK, but might well consider buying from elsewhere if I have to.
Thanks in anticipation,
Steve

THK Photo Products is the US distributor for Slik. I don't see an English distributor on the list. The main page for Slik is not very helpful when it comes to parts.

You might try contacting them to start. Gool luck with the repair.

John,
Thanks to your lead I have now tracked down a UK distributor for Slik. They sound very helpful, so I have my fingers crossed!
Thanks again,
Steve

Spill the bean

Comes on spill the beans, who are they?

My 88n has the same problem cracked clamp on lower leg, wishing to find spares for it.

I enjoy using this tripod and would prefer to repair rather than replace it

I recently wrote an email to THK Photo Products, looking for a replacement rubber foot for my Sprint Pro II. I got a prompt answer, with price and they took a credit card.
Parts aren't cheap, but they are apparently available.
