Whether your glass is made by Canon, Leica, Russia, Or CV, I want to know that I'm not alone.

I actually have two: A Canon P and a Canonet 28 (which I'm trying like MAD to get rid of because I don't use it). I use Russian glass for now.

So...what've you got?

I have a QL17 GIII, my first & only rf. I like it a lot. I have been lusting over an olive Bessa R2, but don't have the funds.

Another QL-17 here, though not a GIII. Used to have a QL-19 as well, but sold it. It was my first rangefinder and soon led to my Bessa R2a purchase. I still use the QL-17 for my "rougher" type shooting, ie. a snowmobiling trip last winter or tossing in the dry bag for whitewater rafting. Love those RF's!

I occasionally dust off my IIIc. I mounted a Voigtlander 50mm finder on it, much brighter and faster than the integrated VF/RF. And I have the Auto-Up of course!

And a G-III. I mean, c'mon, they're everywhere

QL17 GIII

In fact its sitting in my bag right next to me, waiting to be sent off for a CLA and new seals.

Got one back from Ken Hinkle with a CLA and new seals a few weeks ago. Haven't had time to try it out, but the work on the seals looks good.

Canon P, L-1, and a 7s. Canon 100mm f/3.5 -- beautiful light-weight telephoto. Various Nikon, Leitz and Voigtlander SM lenses. Lots of fun.

Canonet G-III QL17

Yesterday I bought a Canonet G-III QL17 for $38 in working condition. I replaced the foam light seals (had turned into a sticky black mess) and shot a roll of Fomapan T200 (a tsjech B&W with a unique nostalgic look) which I developed and scanned same evening.

For those interested, here's the roll:

Nothing artistic, just a test.

The PX625 batteries are no longer available; I used PX625A, which have a higher voltage. No big deal when shooting B&W (as you can see), but when using slide film the results will be overexposed (better use a manual light meter then.)

More info on the camera:

I have a Canonet QL17- GIII and I like it a lot, don't use it much because I prefer my Franka Solida folder med format better, but it is a great camera

I have a Canon VT deluxe - a QL17 GIII, Black QL17 and QL19 - The Black QL 17 is my favourite Canon Rangefinder. Although the 50 1.2 that came with the VT deluxe spends most of its life on my M3

Got a IIb and IVSB. Used to have a IIIb and a 7, but these have been scrapped.

They don't get to be used as much as my FSU rangefinders though. My IIb was last seen sporting a red lizard (snake?) trim and collapsible FED 50 mm lens.
