Dear Group,

I've recently acquired a Scanmate 5000, and I would like to get it running under Mac OS 10.2.8 or 10.4.

The scanner is recognized under OS9, and I was able to make previews via Colorquartet 4.2. However, once I start to use CQ 5.3, I get the "scanner not found" error message all the time on 10.4 and 10.2.8.

I am testing the scanner under the following setups:

Powermac G4MDD, OSX 10.4 - Adaptec 2906 scsi card

Powermac G4MDD OSX 10.2.8 Adaptec 29160 scsi card

If anyone knows how to run the scanner on OSX on a MAC, please let me know. I've also purchased a new ATTO card, heard that adaptec and scanmates have issues over 10.4.

Thank you.
