I am planning a small, social meet and greet type event to get the people in the San Diego area going on some events again. I am planning for Sunday evening, January 24 at 5:00pm at the O's American Kitchen (used to be Pat & Oscar's) in Mission Valley at 8590 Rio San Diego Drive, San Diego CA 92108. To get there take Qualcomm Way north from I-8 to the light at Rio San Diego, turn left, then go a short distance and turn right into the large shopping center. There is a Sports Authority next door. That used to be the K-Mart center, but it is a Living Spaces now. O's has plenty of seating and is friendly about putting tables together and that sort of thing. They also have a nice menu with lots of options.

If you want to bring prints to show that is fine, along with any camera items you might want to show. If you can't make this event, don't worry, I will be doing more in the near future, so stay tuned. I suspect I may be sending this as a private message to the people who expressed interest in the past as well. If you need any details as it gets closer, just reply and I will keep an eye on the thread.

Depending on when I get back from a ski trip, I may drive down to meet all of you. Would you post the address please so that I can get lost using the GPS.

Sirius Glass, I am going to follow this dinner meeting up with a field day not long after, so there will be more events coming along too. I have been getting out in the Mojave every few weeks so I will post one of those trips too. Chris

I am thinking probably the truck museum in Campo would be a good start. Lots of details and old logos there.

Just a bump to this thread reminding folks in the San Diego / So. Cal area that we're having an informal meet & greet in San Diego this Sunday, Jan 24th at 5:00 PM. Chris has listed all the pertinent details at the top of this thread.

This'll be a good opportunity to meet some other APUG'ers and talk about possible upcoming photo shoots, road trips and other events.

    Thanks!

I am drinking bourbon at my girl friend's place. I got back from Colorado yesterday and decided not to drive 200 miles round trip today. Next time.

Very nice to see some familiar faces and meet the new ones. Apologies for the big lens at the dinner table.

Sirius, I don't blame you for not making the drive one bit.
