Rollfims 127 coming to Switzerland

Hi all 127 lovers,

I ordered 127 films from J and C Photo, I will reveive them in a few days .

This will be my first experience with this format, as I felt in love with a small Yashica 44.

Here, in Switzerland, it is almost impossible to make a photo laboratory process 127 films, so I decided to do it myself, so I bought a Paterson Universal tank.

Does any one have an advice for me ? Wich products will give me the best results, where may I find a good enlarger, and so on.

Go to www.onetwoseven.org.uk I just bought a baby 44 myself and am waiting for my film also. Check out the site. Very Cool! There is also a discussion panel where you can ask questions, leave comments and post photos.

J&C are great guys, but if your in Switzerland, that's rather a lot of traveling that your film is having to do! J&C are US distributors for fotoimpex http://www.fotoimpex.de/

Looks like a nice Yashica 44a you've got there. The 44a was my first serious 127, and I've stll got a soft spot for it - it's a lot cleaner design than some of the more full featured cameras, which makes it way fun to use. You're really not going to miss the self timer and flashbulb sync that the full 44 has. The 44a came in loads of different colours too! Now if I were to come across a 44a with the Yashinon lens and in a funky colour I might never use anything else.

It's always nice to find someone who thinks I'm not totally crazy for putting so much effort into what they see as an odd format, but these really are great cameras.

Nice site on 127! I had not seen it before. I have a Bell & Howell 127 camera, and it does pretty well with the Maco 100 film.

In everything I do, I like to use "odd formats". My bass guitar has a so strange shape, that I can not use any standard cases, I also use to play woodwinds instruments, my favorite is the xaphoon, almost no one knows it (www.xaphoon.com), to shoot short-films, I use a Bolex super 8 camera, or a Bolex H16, the pride of Switzerland movie cameras, but again, strange formats for almost everyody

Ian, I find your website great I even tryied a 35mm film on my Yashica 44, with a Lunasix as spotmeter, I find it makes very good results as soon as my pictures will be printed, I will put them on my gallery (they should be ready on thursday).

I've got 3 Kubicki Ex-Factors, which aren't SO strange a shape, but are definatly odd basses. Love 'em to bits. I've also got a day-glo pink BC Rich. The one time I used it, I got kicked out of the Jazz-Funk band I was in at the time

thanks - it's taken a lot of work, but it's starting to come together. As always there are still a few new cameras I want to add (a mysterious german folder arrived today - I've NO idea what it is!), and gallery photo's are always welcome.

Not attempting to poach the APUG userbase, but us 127 users need to stick together!

Gee those tricky UPS guys my film was on the back porch this morning. I'm loadin" up and I'm headin out to use my 44!
