I recently had inherited a film style camera from the early 70's. My grandpa has been in ailing health, and is at a point where he no longer can use his camera. So he passed down his Ricoh KR-10 Super to me. I have fallen in love with this camera and can't help but love the picture quality. There is just so much more weight to pictures taken by film opposed to the ever evolving digital format. I had stumbled upon this wonderful forum site and I am rather excited to share as well as view the work of others who share the same enthusiasm for film. :D

Hello and welcome to APUG! I inherited a few cameras over the years and I agree about the picture quality.

Hi I don't know the Super but the KR-10 got the best value accolade in the 1982 Good Camera Guide. Reading the report the KR-10 has everything you'd need and I imagine the Super is maybe even more sophisticated. A great range of Pentax K lenses is now at your disposal. Enjoy

A great range of K mount lenses out there for very little money. I just saw at an antique store near Hamilton (the one in Canada) a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 (Tokina built, I think) for $20 and a Pentax 28 SMC for $10. Can't do much better than that.

Welcome, from near Washington, DC. The Ricoh KR10 represented a whole lot of picture-taking bang for the buck. Have fun.
