Just getting started with my new timer. Inspired to buy one after I saw Les McLean use one at the Silver conference in Pasadena.
Am I right to assume that I set the dry down compensation for the yellow exposure of the final print only? In other words, I should ignore the shadow exposure (magenta) and apply drydown compensation to the highlight exposure (yellow) only?
It's usual to set dry-down on both exposures. If you set it on the soft exposure only, you risk blocked-up shadows - the reduction in soft exposure increases the overall contrast setting.
