Quick release for Mamiya Univ Press

...i've attached a Mamiya quick shoe model 2 to the camera - and it sort of fits. The paired pins dont go in very deep, but they do stop un-wanted slackening off. The camera's tripod bush isn't quite flush unlike other Mamiyas - and that doesnt help. It protrudes from the base rather like an Agfa folder. I've packed the gap underneath at the sides with cut-up mouse pad material to improve tightness of fit. It's all a bit of a fudge though and i notice thee is a quick shoe Model 1. Can anyone comment on the worth of this? Is the fit better than QS 2?? Or do you prefer a different quick-release all together? Thanks.

As you said the plate does not sit perfectly flush, but the pins fit and when tightened it is rock solid.

Interesting, this looks like it’s wide enough to grab onto the edges of the body. A little smaller and the plate only has the little raised mount to hold onto and it will just slip and unscrew.

It doesn't list the Universal, but Mamiya QR adapters are, I'm fairly certain, pretty universal.

I have one of their adapters for a Sinar 4x5 F2, and it's a well-built product.
