8 people signed up today - on the first day of announcement.

Spaces may go fast. We will limit the workshop to 30 participants this year.
So be sure to email me right away if you want to come!

Looking for a few suggestions.

I'm thinking of heading to Yosemite for a few days before the workshop.... maybe Oct. 11, 12, 12.

Then head to the workshop for a couple days before flying home.

Do I need chains on the rental car at that time of the year?

Suggestions on where to stay in Yosemite... at $400 a night I wouldn't be staying at the big lodge.

Is this still prime season or are the crowds done by then?

Chains should be carried in the winter months -- October should be fine without them.

Crowds -- busy during the weekend...not bad during the week (don't have a calender in front of me for the dates you gave.

Lodging -- Yosemite Lodge (in the Valley) is $150 to $200. But reservations should be made ASAP...who knows, may be too late. Also check out Curry Village in the valley. others are located outside the park. More info:

Here's the Puget Sound info to date: Hope to see some of you there..
I hope to see and meet some northern Apug'rs there.

I'm bringing a portfolio with some newer prints, some platinum. Hope others bring work as well.

Looks like a good list of informative people from the last update I received..
Such as:

Presenters:
Per Volquartz - Dead Link Removed
Bron Smith - humorous guide - www.bronsmith.com - www.bronsmith.com/trowbridge
Gabriele Ludwig - co-ordinator
Gustavo Castilla - platinum presentation - Dead Link Removed
Ross Hamilton - Olympic Mountains photography / publication / commercial printing presentation - http://www.rosshamiltonphotography.com/
Doyle Thomas - Tri-Trans Printing - http://www.primaryfocusphoto.com/index.htm
Steve Pelton - short talks about ECO systems while on location
John Cooley, Attorney, San Diego - short presentation about copyright issues for photographers (pending)

I guess there's a conference room rented at the Ramada for our presenters, so a place to hang and discuss is nice. Worth the small fee IMHO..

I'll also be attending the Owens Valley workshop, but only to follow Skeoch around and tell him he's using all the wrong filters...

Join us!
Cheers..

Blaze, I didn't think you knew what a filter was... of course I only say that because I've seen your work..... and because I'm mean.

I look forward to seeing you again. Maybe even having a coffee together... if we can find one that's drinkable... of course that brings us back to the filter question again.
