Pro-Clean systems cleaner, use in a Nova processor

Through the joys of eBay I have won some Pro-Clean Systems cleaner for, well, minilabs. This stuff is produced by Photosol as a Gelatine and Silver remover for processors dev tank. My plan of action is to use it on a Nova Processor to clean it of my C41 chemicals gunk. What's the thoughts on this, anyone used this stuff on a Nova before? Just it cost me 0.99 pence for 20 litres and the official Nova stuff is £12 a litre

This msds seems to be what you have. No dichromate, but you might contact Nova and ask in what concentration nitric acid would safe to use in your processor. FWIW all the labs I have worked at use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner as a cheap way to clean up gucky racks. Care should be taken with any industrial solution. Note the following warning from the above msds:

The concentration of nitric acid in Part A causes severe burns to all parts of the body. It will attack most metals to liberate flammable hydrogen gas and some plastics (but not stainless steel or glass). It has a pungent odour which may irritate the respiratory tract. Prolonged contact with Part B may cause defatting and dermatitis while ingestion may cause irritation, nausea, vomiting, and kidney damage.

Chucked the rest after having to repair my processor.
