Does anyone know of a business that is still around who can offer real darkroom printing from real negatives?

Blue Moon Camera and Machine in Portland, OR and Praus Productions in Rochester, NY both offer optical prints. I think Praus only does B&W, though. Bob Carnie is one of the best.

In the UK, the purchase of a photography magazine generally has good lists of many developer and printers who do 'real darkroom printing.'

I presume that a US magazine would have the same type of listings?

That site scans your film and then prints from those scans on to real photographic paper.
    They don't do "optical" prints.

If by Flower Mound, you are in the DFW area, Photographique near downtown Dallas is local.

Not to take anything away from Carnie, half a continent away ...

In Germany, You could ask Wolfgang Moersch (another "One of The Best") and Fotoimpex.

Trouble for me the negatives I love I will never let leave my side, I can see the benefit of the Ilford upload in 2017.

I'd second Wolfgang Moersch. I own several of his prints (he made for another photographer). I don't know if he has been attributed with the title "master printer" nor do I know what the criterions are for such a title. The work speaks for itself though.
