Pictorico in Europe?

Where are you buying Pictorico film in Europe? Specifically, I’m talking about Pictorico Pro Ultra Premium OHP Transparency Film, and larger than 11x17.

I don't. I did purchase at some point some Fixxons, but I got that directly from them (through their eBay store) so I bit the bullet on the shipping costs + VAT.

However, I only use generic screen printing inkjet film now. It's virtually as good as the Fixxons, but at a fraction of the price. I'd honestly not bother with Pictorico unless there's a compelling reason (based on actual testing, not just hearsay) why the regular screen printing film won't work.

I bet there's at least one retailer in every European country that offers something similar.

Note the price difference; the stuff I use is €39 for 50 sheets A3. 20 sheets of Pictorico at A3+ (marginally bigger) costs > €85. It's about five times as expensive! And I can guaranteed you it isn't five times as good. Maybe 5% better in reality.

Thanks, I should have mentioned that I use Pictorico for digital negatives for platinum/palladium printing. I have almost a full box of Fixxons, and they are not bad, but after trying Pictorico, I found that I get better results with it and want to stick with it. After several years of experimentation and trial and error, I developed a curve that I’m really satisfied with and I’d really like to avoid a lengthy new profiling process due to changing film brands. I still have two full boxes of 11x17 Pictorico, but I want to go larger now.

I did a Google search and found this French website, as well as some other places that sell Innova film as Pictorico, but I’m wondering if it’s the same? As I said, I’d like to avoid 2-3 days of profiling if I don’t have to.

I assumed that the Pictorico was/is for alt. process digital negatives. That's also what I've used the screen printing film for as well as for other purposes. I see what you mean; in your place I'd try to get a box of the screen printing stuff and give it a go. If it works without adjustments to the curve, you've found yourself a shortcut. If not, you can always shop around. Pt/Pd doesn't require much density in the negative compared to some other processes and Pictorico is mostly better than the others in the sense that it'll hold a little more ink. I don't think that for Pt/Pd you'd hit anywhere the ink limit on the cheap film - at least I don't, for those kinds of densities, and an Epson 3880 using the black channels. YMMV.
