Hi again
Active photo amateur again. Tried to withstand but this is a cronic decease, an incurable bug. So to ease my pain I bought a Pentax 6X7 the other day.
Just like that and I felt good doing it. I just have to find/take time to do what I like most (besides S..)
Took it for a shot today and found that the groundglass (together with the 4,5 75mm) was somewhat dim. So a new groundglass/focusing screen is needed. So where, which and how to mount ?

Someone just asked this very question the other day....

I Would suggest a Beattie, although I have made screens for these, with such a concentrated area expected to provide a bright image, the enhanced screen is probably your best bet, but be prepared, you might pay close to the same price you did for the camera..

One thing you might try is taking your current screen out and washing with HOT water and degreasing dish soap, this will get rid of any enviormental contamination it has aquired over the years.

Thanks Dave
is it the two screws near the back that mus be undone ?
How about the "foamrim" around the Prismfinder ? It seems to be disintigrating.
Great camera in good condition despite its age. Its an early one with MLU but without multiexposure ability.

The post I have seen says it is not for everyone to do the change.

It was mentioned in the other thread regarding dim wievfinders that the waistlevel finder would solve some of the problem.

How much brightness will be gained when:
Changing the focussing screen
Using waistlevel instead of the prismfinder
getting a newer finder(does such exist for P6X7 and 67)
