Does anyone have a good system for loading film into the Pentax 67? It can be a real bear sometimes, esp. under adverse conditions when you especially don't want it to be.
Your're right; it can be a real pain to load. The only tip I can offer is this. Be sure you keep the seal unbroken on the fresh roll until it's safely seated on the left side; it's much easier to fuss with it when it's not unrolling. I also favor loading the take up spool with the camera upside down so i can use one finger to manipulate the spool into position to lock the holder. Good luck...it's a great camera with some small inconveniences.
It took me some practice but I find that it's really not that hard after you've gotten used to it
like jovo said just leave the seal unbroken until you have it in place
wiggling helpes sometimes -_-
I don't see the problem. I use a 67II for air photography and can change films in the very cramped space of a light aircraft in a few seconds. The fact that I am sitting down in the plane probably helps as I can rest it with the lens between my knees. The thing that drives me mad is that it is far too easy to switch the thing off when advancing the film.
