Hi Folks,

Those of us who are Polaroid users, let's go out with a parade, shall we?

This exchange has one simple rule: you must use Polaroid film and send a Polaroid print. The print can be a transfer, emulsion lift, historical process print from Type 55, or a bona fide real Polaroid snap of your choice. In can be sent as a postcard, matted/mounted, whatever.

I don't know how many people we'll get, so I'll see how to group this up once I get numbers. Sign up here and PM your name and address too.

Who's in?

Regards, Art.

Yes, I'm in! Still some 10 packs of 600/779 left; enough to share a few photos.

(Great minds think alike: "Ode to Polariod", hm, didn't I post an image on my photolog this morning with the same title? )

Without wanting to sound dense, is this just the one we send, or do we send a polaroid to everyone else in the exchange?!

If it's just the one - I'm in. I can't afford to send one to everyone :-(

If the numbers aren't too absurd, I'd do some 8x10's.

This is Art's baby of course but my suggestion is around 3 each. Especially if you are planning to do an 8x10! That chews up resources lickety split!

Hi Folks,

ARGH! Details, details ... OK, OK, hmmm ... let's see. What to do, what to do .... how's this: We'll set it up similar to the postcard exchange (it's not a postcard exchange though but any Polaroid Print Exchange) - you tell me what your limit is, what kind of Polaroid print you're sending (could be a postcard if you want), and I'll make arrangements to use Ruediger's funky software (he doesn't know yet ... shhh) to figure out who gets what print.

Whaddayasay?

Regards, Art.

Is there a timeframe in mind?
Oh, why oh why do you torture me so? Errr .... Hmmmm ... let's make sign up to the end of the month - February 28 or is it 29 this year. Whatever. The end of the month. Then a month to get the prints out.

Regards, Art.

OK, I'm in for 3 4x5s then; don't know what type yet - I think I'm out of 79 and it's already disappeared from the Polaroid site (*sniff*) so it'll probably be either 59 or 54.

Ouch, the biggest (and smallest) I can offer is 600 type. Let's say I'm in for 10 of those ("I'm in for 10 of those"). Maybe a few more, if it comes to that.

(Hm, can I send 4 of those to someone in exchange for 1 8x10"?... Art, what are you getting yourself into, organising this...? )
