Odd Pentax 67 lens - Carl Zeiss

I just received a Carl Zeiss Jena 180mm 2.8 lens that has a Pentax 67 mount. If this wasn't odd enough, it has a fixed 2.8 aperture, meaning you always shoot wide open.

Has anyone ever seen one of these? What is it worth?

Maybe it is a pre-set lens, rather than a fixed aperture.

Are there two rings ? Turning one opens and closes the aperture, the other sets the range the first will rotate.

The Jena lens is very fine, and made for Pentacon, but has always been adaptable to other mounts.

It will not be the 'sharpest' lens, but few lenses can equal this old Sonnar's handsome images.

Google for images of "180 Jena Sonnar". Which version have you ?

david, I can see the aperture ring near the lens mount. Its between that round peg and the focusing ring.

can you focus an image ?

it lt looks like you're missing a lens group inside there... but maybe it's just the picture.

it really should have an aperture in there ! did it come with the Pentax 67 mount attached ?

yes you can focus. actually the bokeh is rather amazing.

and yes it came with the 67 mount.
