Has anyone used a Nova Monochrome processor as a dip-'n-dunk tank for 4x5 film?

I have an 8x10 Monochrome processor that I have been considering using this way. It has 3 slots, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to use it with a sheet film hanger to do 4 or more sheets at a time.

Has anyone done this successfully?

I'm thinking of doing the same. I don't see why it wouldn't work. The only thinkg I was thinking of, is if I'm using hangers, to tape something that is the width of it in case it falls down into the bottom.

I have the 3 slot 8x10 but the kind that look like file folders.

I have a 12"x16" three slot Nova processor, sitting idle, but I can't think of a safe way of using it for my 5"x4" negatives maybe one at a time but certainly not 4 at a time.

Maybe useful for my 10"x8" negs, and as I use and replenish X-to; for all my films its a possibility. I'll be seeing the guys from Nova on Tuesday and will mention this thread.

If you got some uPVC rod (same diameter as the Nova tube tank lids) you could cut 2 short lenghts and drill to fit on the ends of the hanging bar of the film holder. This would stop the holder falling in during processing.

Awesome idea. I was already thinking something similar. I needed a "stick" to stir up the chemistry and was thinking of getting a thin PVC pipe for it. And I thought, hmmm, I can stick the air nozzel of my canned air and shoot some air to it to help stir up.
