That's an assignment I do with my art students... I'll be giving it to my Art 12 students very shortly from the comforts of my livingroom. I also do one with my photography students...but they work with famous photographs.

Good ideas !

The very first assignment by my only photo teacher...who was a Minor White student (photos in Aperture)... was to clip pictures from the various fashion and travel magazines he brought, then talk about them. No cameras, no darkrooms...that came on day 4. He did assume everybody with art aspirations had familiarity with cameras and darkrooms back then (1967 Mendocino Art Center) because so many people did back then.
