Is it just me, or am I just really blind/stupid not to have found the new processing times for the new Agfa APX 100 film anywhere for 1:50 Rodinal? I can find times on digitaltruth.com for this film rated at ISO-anything but ISO 100. I tried developing in 1:25 Rodinal at the stated new times but did not like the results. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the info!

I have an older chart from Freestyle Sales and they show APX 100 in Rodinal 1:50
@ 68° F for 17 minutes (tank) or 14 minutes (drum) processing.

I think I have the same chart but the ISO is 125, not 100. I don't think a 1/3 of a stop will matter.

The chart I have shows Agfa APX 25, APX 100, and AP 400 with a number of different developers.

I don't have any of the "New" APX 100 - (will be ordered soon...), but processing times for the "New AgfaPan 400" (and 100) were printed, as Agfa usually does, on the inside of the box the film comes in. Did you disassemble the box and look there?

Are you sure that there is a new APX100? There was definitely a new APX400, with very differnt times, but that was accompanied by a clear press release from Agfa and a warning that there are new times, including the batch number of the first of the new film. I've not seen anything about a new 100.

If you use Agfa published times, bear in mind that the basic times are basd on a contrast of 0.65 which is somewhat higher than many people prefer. I aim at something more like 0.55, and Agfa give some info about this too.

Ed: Yes, the box gives times for 1:25 dilutions but I want 1:50. I know I could tweak and guesstimate my development times but I'm still new at this and prefer not to make any unnecessary blunders. I just went ahead with 17 mins in the end. Not too impressed, its much too grainy for ISO100 film, or perhaps that was just the scanning?!

The "Digital Truth" site,[ www.digitaltruth.com ], has times for both "Old" and "New" APX100. They are the same: Rodinal 1:50, 17 minutes @ 20 deg. C.

"Much too grainy"??
No way I can argue, or even comment about that. All I can say is that *I* like the combination - a LOT. Fantastic acutance ... and I like the tonality and grain structure.
