Hello,

It has been about 10 or 15 years since I did any enlarging, but, with the gift of a used Beseler 4x5 enlarger, I am going to start back in. I've been shooting 4x5, and have been scanning and digitally printing the last few years, with mixed results.

Can anyone point me to sites with good general up to date information on traditional enlarging? I am interested in what types of papers are popular now, how to deal with filters for contrast adjustments with my enlarger. Thoughts on developers for papers, etc. Most books I see in the stores seem pretty old (and out of date?).

Thanks for any links or pointers to good info...

I know that I am not alone in thinking that you have already found the best in APUG.

The two years of past threads cover an astounding array of topics and questions, from beginner to advanced, are answered quickly and accurately.

Many folks here have returned to analog photography after an extended absence and can relate to your situation.
