I seem to have some residue in the bottom of my solution bottle,
I did as the manual suggested and applied very small amounts of silver nitrate too the A and B solution to advoid a grey sludge in the final mix.and when poring into the staorage bottle there was no apparant residue/sludge
Would this residue be from one of the other 2 solutions and will it be absorbed over 24-48 hours or do I start again.

Don't start again.

There are a couple of ways to deal with the sludge.
1. Decant carefully into another bottle
2. run through a coffee filter

I have been doing VDB for many years and occasionally get the sludge. My general practice is to make 500 ml of sensitizer. After it has settled for 24 or more hours, I decant smaller quantities into the dropper bottle from which it will be used. Even when I am careless and let a little sludge get into the dropper bottle, it has never caused me a problem.

Have fun printing.
