Since the cost-per-area is comparable to large sheet sizes or cheaper, I've been considering going to mural rolls for all sizes over 8x10. It seems like instead of stocking large paper, I can just buy one VC mural roll and print every size I want by cutting it down. The only thing is the hassle of doing so and I wonder if the paper will be very curly. Does anyone use Mural rolls for prints down to 11x14? Does it work out pretty well?

the further you get towards the core, the curlier the paper gets. Nothing that a heavy stack of books shouldn't cure after a day or so .

convenient working from rolls, as you already mentioned. this is how I've been able to afford supra endura for the last 2 years, buy buying rolls and cutting it down.

be aware though, some papers are designed for digital exposure(short exposure(laser) times, think lightjet or lambda). IDK how they'd work with optical enlargements from negatives.

Bob Carnie would be the resident expert I'd guess on this matter. He does large mural work for his lab's customers on a regular basis from what he's stated.

I have started to buy all my Ilford Warmtone that is slated for framing(inhouse] down to 16x20 using 50x100ft rolls.
Pros- One roll can be used for various sizes which will make my stocking options easier.
Consistantancy from various sizes, **Ilford has always been consistant*
We can cut the roll to size in safelight quite easily on demand.
We try to do the large murals first and cut directly from the box using the 50 Inch width. Then we cut the roll down to approx 29 inch by length, which leaves a 20 inch by length of roll left.
we then rolo trim the 20 inch roll for 20x24, 16x20 and in some cases use the 16x20 paper for 11x14 prints.* I actually like the big white border.**
This way I am always stocked with various size print options .

Cons
If you wait too long the inner core paper will be very curly if not used within a short period of time.
This is not a deal breaker but definately a pain in the ass.
Precision cuts are not always a given so all work that is being used for portfolio purposes will be from cut sheet that is supplied by Ilford.
hope this helps
