Mortensen, Monsters & Madonnas... value?

A friend has a very clean copy of the William Mortensen book Monsters and Madonnas. Clean and has the paper cover over the hard cover. Some color plates in the book. He asked me about its value and I don't know where to send him to find out. Any leads will be appreciated. He thinks he wants to sell it but doesn't know what to ask. I haven't seen it anywhere to find a ballpark figure for him, so here I am asking if anyone has a good idea of reality for him in todays market.

I just bought one not to long ago off the bay. I got it for $90.00, not mint but not trashed either. The two that were on before I got mine went for over $200. Color plates? I have a second edition and it doesn't have any color plates. Maybe that is why some are asking for the high end amounts.

I have gone to the links provided & looked at Google. What I find is a reprint from the 1960's. What he has is the original edition from the first printing. It has color plates & the ones after apparently did not. Am still looking and will appreciate any info someone may have.

I seem to remember one being auctioned at photoeye.com and the bids rapidly
passed $300 (if I remember correctly). Let us APUG'ers know if he decides to
sell, so we can all bid against each other!
