Happy New Year one and all.

The monthly update of Technical Notes on three of my images.

http://www.steve-sherman.com/tech_notes.cfm

One of the images is a carry over from last month and two of the three images are included in the Contact Print Azo Show which opens Sunday Jan. 8th at the Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts in Gaithersburg, MD.

Steve,
Very well done. Your notes are helpful to a newbie to the LF world such as myself.

Steve

Your posting of these three images is the reason why its wonderful to be a part of APUG. I find all three images totally inspiring. Three differant subjects, one photographers seeing eye, and all, to me, technically perfect.

Being a landscape fan, I am more drawn to the titled Paria canyon. Very interesting format and framed to perfection. I like alot of contrast in a photograph, so it all looks good to me. Nice work with the Ferri.

Thanks for the posting, a joy to view.

Regards

Stoo

Nice work.
You certainly seem to have a handle on many different film/developer/format combinations, no small feat.

I like the 'Corn Lily'. I was trying to photograph something similar a couple of days ago but the leaf formation did not seem to lend itself to a picture attractive to me.

Thank you Steve, it's always a pleasure viewing your images.

Without trynig to be rude, it's a pity that there are so many typo's in the descriptions.
Here are some

Thanks for the heads up on the typo's. That's what happens when you make these changes late at night on the last day.

BTW, Schwing is spelled correctly.

Cheers

Wonderful work! I remember how almost apologetic you sounded to have been asked to be a presenter at the View Camera conference in Springfield. Well...don't ever feel that way again! My kneejerk reaction to ULF is that the camera is very cool, using it and making a technically successful print is very cool, but the resulting images are almost always disappointing. Your work is really, really good! (oh wait...I already said it was 'wonderful'...well, OK...it's both wonderful and really, really good as well!)

Steve,
Excellent as usual. I really look forward to these; however this time I am really blown away. Your Mesa Arch photograph is stunning.

Thanks again,
