Hello,

Just got myself a nice Mamiya C330f with a 80mm F2.8 black Mamiya Seko lens but
I'm planning to get one or 2 more lenses (65mm and 135/or/150mm) to complete things
up but I wonder if an older chrome 65mm lens with the Seikosha-S shutter will work
with the C330f body: will it fool the auto-cocking mechanism on the body as I believe that
it is manually cocked. With the C330f am I limited to the 'newer' black lens?

thanks for advice!

For the C33/330/330f/330s bodies:

Seikosha-MX shutters: No

Seikosha-S shutters: Yes (except early 180mm - try before you buy)

Seiko (black) shutters: Yes

There have been a few instances of camera bodies not moving the shutter cocking levers correctly on compatible pairings, but that is an adjustment issue.

Thank you all for the info!
Much appreciated,

Now on the lookout for a Mamiya TLR 55mm lens! (or any other except the 80mm!)

I had a slight problem using a chrome lens on the C330f. As noted in a previous post, it could be remedied by adjusting the linkage - but that made it difficult to switch lenses. I found a solution by putting a short (about 1/4") piece of aquarium air tubing on the shutter release lever of the lens.
