I've found an older Mamiya 645 over here for a little under $200 (USD), and am thinking of picking it up for my wife. I'm familiar enough with MF, and Mamiya (C33), but never had my hands on one of these. What should I make sure of before I buy it? I trust the seller overall, but want to know more about the beast itself.
I think its an M 645 1000s, but definitely not a Super. The price might be higher than in the US, but there's no freight or VAT.
I could pick up a Kiev 88CM for Herself, but my guess is that the Mamiya is still more likely to work every time she picks it up, and with a $20 adapter, I can use all the old lenses here that I want.
Also, what speed is the flash sync?
