Hi,

I have a Kiev88CM camera and a three Zeiss lenses. I am thinking about buying used Mamiya 645AF and I would like to continue using my P6 lenses. This should be possible using the Mamiya645/P6 adapter.

I'd like to ask:
  • Do you have experience with this setup? Does the adapter affect the optical quality of the picture? (aka. Would it still be sharp?)
  • Will the automatic aperture on the lens work or will I need to stop down manually before shooting?
  • Will the metered prism work?

Thanks, Stefan

I assume it's the same with the Pentax 645.

No changes to the optics. The adapter is just a mount and spacer.

Stopped down.

The meter works in stopped down mode. If it needs to read the lens aperture then it won't.

At least that's how it works with the Pentax and P6 lenses.
