So I talked to Ruediger and he's agreed to let me organize the next round of a lith print exchange, in the 'tradition' of a different organizer each round.

Like the previous exchange, I don't think we need a long sign-up period, so I'm suggesting:

Sign-up: April
Print and send: May and June (or perhaps until the end of the summer in August?)

I'd like to stay ahead of some other exchanges and summer holidays, and perhaps reduced darkroom hours for some.

So, to start, I'm in.

Wish I had more time to participate. Looks like some good lith printers joining already. Got one from you each except Rachelle.
I'm also breaking in new lith chemistry. The new AristaLith Premium is tricky. Much different from its predecessor in that it generates pepper fog like no other developer. Great for some subject matter, not so great for other.

Have fun!

Eight sign-ups already! Not bad for half a day's work.

KWhitmore and trotkiller -- I think the spirit of all these exchanges is that it doesn't really matter what level you are at. It's more about the experience of sharing your work with others, learning from them, and getting inspired.

Shangeye, to answer your question, and I'm sure some of the others, I'm going to copy here what mikeg wrote in Round 2:

1. This is about sharing what can be done in lith printing with the emphasis on the process and not on the value of the prints themselves. I plan on sending my best attempts and I'm sure everyone else will do the same.

2. Print size and presentation will not have any requirements. Prints may be on fibre or RC paper. They may be unmounted, mounted, and/or matted. It's up to you.

3. The print may be straight lith or bleach and redevelopment in lith

4. The addition of explanatory notes is optional, but the recipients may appreciate an explanation of the process, such as paper type, lith developer, dilutions etc.

5. The exchange is open to anyone who wants to print in lith.

6. This is an international exchange, so be prepared to send your prints anywhere in the world.

7. Everyone will be divided into groups of 3 or 4 people. So the maximum number of prints you will have to send is 3.

Of course, this is open to discussion, but my feeling is that most of the veteran participants like the style that's been set up. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Travis - I knew thebanana's real name was floating around somewhere! Glad to have another Manitoban in the mix.
