Linhof Super Technika IV - Tessar 105mm/f3.5 - 2x3 Cut Film, 120 Roll Film Backs!

Included with this listing:
  • Linhof Super Technika IV body
  • Carl Zeiss T 105mm/f3.5 Tessar lens
  • Linhof Synchro-Compur shutter
  • 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" Cut Film Back
  • Super Rollex 56x72 (120) Roll Film Back
  • Hand Grip
  • Rangefinder Eye Cup

The camera is fully functional, as you can see from the test photos.

Shutter speeds are correct, and lens glass is clean and clear. There might be very slight haze due to age, but nothing that will impact your images.

The front standard has rise and tilt, but no swing or shift. The bed has 2 positions. The back of the camera can be extended an additional inch or so, and repositioned/adjusted as needed to achieve the desired effect.

The camera has built in cams for the 65mm and 80mm lenses. With the Super Technika V I have listed, you have to find a cam to match the lens you want to use, and they are very rare!

The original leather strap on the hand grip failed on me, so I used some nylon webbing to make a replacement. Works pretty well, and can be adjusted for larger hands.

Asking $1000, shipped in CONUS.

________

Found an old Linhof price list from 1960. The Super Technika IV 2x3 was $564 CAD. In today's dollars, that would be more than $5K CAD!

What size are they?

I sold my Linhof to a dealer because it needed repair and am a little fuzzy on the cams. I have one marked 180/100/65, another one marked 180/80/53, and the last one unmarked. These are really fantastic cameras and I wish I would have held unto mine.

I also have three Technika lens boards that I don't think where used - LN.

Mine is 180/105/65. Guess anything larger than 180 wouldn't fit in the body so that you could still close it.

Very nice camera! Do you happen to know if the 65-80-105 cam you have mounted also couples with the Zeiss/Linhof Select 100mm f/2.8 Planar? I read somewhere each individual lens had to be coupled.

Thanks!

Each lens requires its own specific cam, but only for using it in the rangefinder mode. You can still use that lens with the ground glass back.
