I have a 6x7 Linhof Super Rollex that sometimes leaves me with a line on one (more rarely two) ends of the neg. This is a line line of increased density that is perhaps two millimeters in from the 56mm edge. It has only happened with wide angles (47 and 65mm SA) and only in bright conditions, so I suspect that it a reflection of the shiny film transport roller(s).

This problem is a real pain, as I try to format through to the edges, to get the maximum benefit of the negative size. Are all Super Rollexes subject to this problem, or are the later ones better ? Is there a fix for this problem that is better than what I've already done - blacken the rollers with an indelible pen ?

Have you tried shading the lens more closely with a compendium shade to restrict the image circle? That might do it.

Good idea, but it will take some fine tuning, as I can't see the corners of the screen when stopped down. I guess it would be worth a roll of film in order to "program" the lens hood.

I'm a little surprised that these RFHs suffer this problem. Mine are circa 1970 (I guess) so ultra wides may have been rare when they were made. Surely the latest ones must be better - especially for the money they are asking.
