I figured that since leaf shutters are near the aperture and they're not instant to open/close, it ought to be possible to have a shutter appear as a pattern in the bokeh. For it to work, you need a background highlight to appear in the midtones somewhere, with the lens fairly wide open and at the full shutter speed.
I finally managed it! Leaf-shutter bokeh in acres of chrome:
RZ67 110/2.8 @ f/4 (maybe wider) 1/400 Pan-F EI25 (Sunny-16), D-76 1+3
