Larry Towell on The Lens (CBC)- anybody catch it?

    It was quite good. I like his use of the pano format. A staunch supporter of film too.

    I saw the tralier a week or so earlier, and it looked interesting, but, as usual, life got too busy with other things...

    I missed on the show and can't find in my reading what 35mm pano camera he uses- he seemed to make quite fast exposures with no aid of a tripod.

    Towell is one of the few members of Magnum I can still have respect for.

    Seems you can watch the prog on the website, albeit in a very small format.

    I saw the program and was very impressed. I thought that I knew his work, but I learned a lot more about him. I have seen quite a few of his prints first hand and I can tell you, he is an excellent printer on top of everything else.

    i wouldn't put too much stock in that... i know who does his film and the push to change is on.
