Hi, I recently got a Konica FC-1 that needs repair. It only takes one photo and then stop working. After re-installing the battery, the camera can shoot another photo and then stop again.

Since it is one of the Konica F-series, the usual culprits are the fouled insulation pads underneath flexible cable connector, and Sticky Electromagnets.

I have repaired FT-1 motor before, but this FC-1 presents a challenge in opening up the top plate. There is no little pinholes to remove the shutter speed selector.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'd try removing the more obvious fasteners, and see if the top cover lifts off with shutter speed dial in place.

I have good news to report: the camera seems back in life. I didn't open it up. I just power cycle the camera many times by inserting and removing the battery pack, and user B shutter speed to exercise the shutter electromagnets (probably sticky due to long term no use). And now it seems working properly. Let's see if it last until tomorrow...
