Visited London on family vacation over Thanksgiving last month and was astounded to see Kodak Portra film pro packs for sale in a small London Subway shop! !!! That is definitely a good sign and a sight that would not be seen 5 years or so back. Go young Hipsters!

pukalo, just out of interest what was this shop charging for the pro-packs and was this a 5 pack of 120 or 135? Thanks

Whereabouts was this? Excellent news, and something I didn't know though I am not very surprised. I see film shooters regularly in London these days. Gone are the times when people looked at me like I'm an alien from outer space for carrying around a film camera.

Interesting, I've never seen a roll of film for sale at a sandwich shop

Wasn't a sandwich shop, more like a newsstand/snacks/drinks small kiosk. Exact location not sure, maybe Leicester Square subway station. At any rate, It was one of the main subway station in central London. I almost stopped to take a phone pic, should have but then the family would be upset as we were rushing to transfer lines.

In Britain 'Metro' is either a small car from the '80s or a free newspaper found at public transport stops, 'Subway' is a sandwich chain and 'Underground' is the below level railway in London!
