Hi,
Does anyone know how to repair a Kodak No. 2 Kodamatic shutter or where I can find some repair information? I just purchased an old Kodak Six-16 camera, cleaned some of the internal lens surfaces and got the shutter to work properly with a light cleaning. Just when I thought it was usable, one of the blades is not working anymore. It is not connected anymore and can swing around by tilting the camera.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

If no one here can help, I think there might be some info on the kyphoto repair forum, and there is also the Yahoo "camera-fix" group (Dead Link Removed). A google for that shutter might help too, but I'm not sure. Most other shutters that I've need info on have been found with a google search.

There's a Romney book that includes the Supermatic, which is a very close relative. My only advice is to be wary of removing the back screws--at least one of them (behind the sector gear) holds down a tiny but ever-so-crucial spring. But getting at the shutter blades would require a fairly complete disassembly. Good luck!

That was an interesting link; unfortunately, mine is the No. 2 Kodamatic shutter. Thanks for link; it might come in handy later.
