Hello all,
My Nikkormat ELW should be here in a few days. I have read about its semi-automatic meter coupling procedure. Is there any way to compose/focus wide open, manually stop down, and then shoot? I am able to do this with my Canon F-1N and FL lenses. I have two non-AI Nikkor lenses--the 28/3.5 Nippon Kogaku, and the 50/2 Nippon Kogaku--but, in either case, I have been unable to identify any stop-down switch.
The Nikkormat ELW looks like my kind of camera: straightforward, well-made, and, best of all, a heavyweight. Those lightweight (and plastic) bodies are not for me.
