    Please join us for a presentation by fine art photographer Jane Fulton Alt at Perspective Gallery in Evanston, IL. on Sunday January 12, 2014 at 4:30 pm.

    Ms. Alt's presentation: Burning with Passion: How to Find Your Creative Voice will provide insights into her creative process and is free and open to the public. Ms. Alt's work explores universal issues of humanity and the non-material. This lecture is part of the gallery's Perspectives on Photography speaking series.

    About Jane Fulton Alt

    Jane Fulton Alt, a resident of Evanston, IL, has been active in the arts much of her life. In addition to being a photographer, Alt has been a clinical social worker for over 40 years.
    Alt attended the University of Michigan, the University of Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College, and the Evanston Art Center.
    She is the recipient of fellowships from the Illinois Arts Council and Ragdale. Her awards include Photolucida's Critical Mass, Photo District News 2011 Curators Choice Award and the 2012 Humble Arts 31 Women in Art Photography Award.
    Alt's work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Smithsonian National Museum of American History, New Orleans Museum of Art, De Paul University Art Museum, Southwest Museum of Photography, Beinecke Library at Yale University, Centro Fotografico Alvarez Bravo in Oaxaca, Mexico, Center for Photography at Woodstock, Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, and private collections.
    She has authored The Burn, Look and Leave: Photographs and Stories of New Orleans's Lower Ninth Ward and her Crude Awakening portfolio was published worldwide. The Burn and the artist made/limited edition book, between fire/smoke, will be available for purchase.
