I'd like to spend more time in Toronto if the shooting options are good. Is anyone thinking of staying around afterwards to shoot.

I don't know about after, but before for sure. Street photography in TO rocks.

Wayne register -- be the first!

I will be able to set you up with locations before or after the conference. Ambassador Art will be available with his vast data base of locations as well. Just let me know what you are interested in subject matter and we will scout it out for you.

I may also be available before the Conf. (if Mr.Carnie lets me out to play). I'm taking that whole week off work (so I can slave in Bob's gallery, what was I thinking?)
Just signed up for the conf. myself and a workshop.

If there's a place you wish to see, we can help. suggestions, directions, and/or guides...

I will be staying longer than the weekend and then go to Montreal. If you behave and buy me some beers you get to use the 20x24 if Bob would give us a discount to develop them for us...

Wayne,

I'll also be there a bit earlier. I may take the whole week off - haven't decided yet. I'm planning on doing some street shooting and some fashion/glamour studio work (make up artist, stylist, models and all) before the conference. Want to assist? :D

If you need ideas, directions, etc...post a specific message or send me a PM. I'll be glad to help out.

Regards, Art.

I'm planning to be there longer than the weekend. Not sure if it is before or after.
Still trying to fgure out how to fit all my gear into Sean's spare, empty suitcase  .

I'll be taking the week off as well. I'll be leading one of the outings and vollentering at the conference. I'd like to get together with some APUG's for some shots.

Count Sharon & I in if we make it (we're going to try. I may make it as an official representative of a sponsor

I retook the photo that I gave you at the workshop. I just put it up in the Gallery. I owe you a copy of it when I get some more carbons done.

We are planning to incorporate a longer family vacation with the conference weekend, so I will be open to some additional shooting. Just don't know yet if the extra time will be before or after the conference. I would be open to meeting up with some people outside of the conference on the other days.

Regardin John and Jims question *before or after* I would like to suggest after as the Contact festival will be in full swing and you could take in the shows , as well May in Ontario is very beautiful and I know Mike Dowell or Roguiesh or Timothy have secret locations that a few beers would pry out of them.
Also as I have to completely shut down the Lab just before the conference there will not be much happening other than conference set up and too many cooks will upset the pot. I think that this will be the most hectic time for me and my staff . As well the print show is to be kept under wraps till opening night when Sean is to announce the winners so it will be up but each image covered untill the opening.

Thanks Bob, have heard great things about Ontario and the Contact Festival looks very interesting.

I'll be up for at least Friday, Sat, Sun, but will probably stay through Monday, too if possible.

Thanks Bob. Sounds like we will schedule are extra days for after the conference.

I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to participate in the conference, but I live in the same neighbourhood in Toronto as Elevator Digital and almost across the street from the Roehampton Hotel so I will be "around" before and after. I'd be interested in meeting other APUGers for beers, shooting, etc. If anyone has questions about the city or the neighbourhood I'd be glad to answer them.

Cheers

For the record, my comany is called Elevator, Elevator Digital is a brand new name that reflects new digital elements that we have acquired over the last couple of years.

To avoid any pissing matches the Conference is completely Analogue and I wil have all our Digital equipment under wraps during this short period of time in respect to APUG.

I have no problem with this as first and formost I and my staff are traditional black and white photographers , and a large bulk of our yearly income is derived by processing , traditional printing colour and black and white as well framing. We have delved into Alternative processes but my main job is printing fibre base prints.

Don't take this the wrong way, but we have been through this before a year ago and I want to make very clear that all events are traditional .
