Instructional Video?

I recently purchased a Calumet 4x5 view camera. Previous to that, I had purchased Ansel Adams' "The Camera", "The Negative", and "The Print" books. I've read and reread "The Camera" book in an effort to become somewhat comfortable in using my 4x5, but I just don't learn as well when it comes to reading material. I'm a much more visual learner.

Does anyone know of any instructional videos for large format cameras in general? I've googled my heart out, but haven't had any luck finding anything. I'm in the states - Indiana to be exact - if there were any videos available, it'd be nice if I could purchase one in the US.

I have seen a cheesy video produced by either combo or calumet on how to use the Combo/Calumet 4x5 camera. It appeared to be produced in the 70's and included a narrative voice over that acted as the thoughts of a young apprentice in a professional studio. Should you find it, be forewarned words such as 'geez' and 'gosh' are thrown about rather liberally.

Do a search on eBay for Fred Picker. There are currently several listed for sale.

I have all three of the videos and they all contain good information.

Calumet has a cd with some basic infor. check with them. ask for the educational division. I may have an extra hanging around somewhere and will check for you,.

Okay, I purchased (off of Ebay) a Fred Picker video, "Photographing with Fred Picker". This is the one where he treks about Vermont using his 4x5. I guess I was a little disappointed with this video. It seemed to me he was a little quick in his setup and procedures (probably just b/c he's so skilled) - but from everything I've read, it sounded like using 4x5 required great patience and study. He went from setup to shot in very little time, seemed to do a hasty job at focusing, etc. The process of using the movements was lightly touched on.

Are there any other videos out there that do a better job at detailing examples of where one might need to use the movements? I'm thinking of all the examples in Adams' book, "The Camera" - he gave several scenarios.

I guess I'm just concerned about developing bad habits. Just like in golf, if you start off with a bad swing, it's difficult for a trainer to get that bad swing out of you. I don't want the same to happen in this new medium for me.
