Ok, I decided today that I wanted some developers other than my standard D-76, so I hit the two photo shops.

What I purchased:
1 Ilford ID-11 Developer
1 Ilford Perceptol Developer
2 Kodak Microdol Developers
1 Kodak Sepia Toner (It was really, really cheap.)

So, here is the question..

I know ID-11 is usually treated as a refined D-76, or so I have read. But, when calculating the costs.. ID-11 comes out much more expensive per roll. Is it worth it?

With the exception of a slightly different procedure for mixing them, ID-11 and D-76 are functionally identical.

Is the third developer on your list Microdol, or is it Microdol-X? If it is Microdol, you may have a collector's item there .

And you do know that the Sepia toner isn't developer, don't you?

Yes.. I know Sepia Toner is not developer, just was making a list from the pile on my desk. And I double checked, it is Microdol-X but it was made in 2007.

Worth it compared to what? No developer? Compared to D76? Between it and D76 I would just take whichever was cheaper.

Ok, thats what I thought. I will stick with the nice and cheap D-76. Apparently Memphis Photo gets preferred pricing from Kodak.
