I need a source for a 6'x6' (72"x72") enlargement

Good day,
I have a request for a 6'x6' enlargement of one of my photographs. My max is 62" (5' 2") on a colorspan and the labs in my area are somewhat suspect. It appears that WCI maxs out @50" for an epson and 30" for a digital RA4. Beyond WCI and the Labs near me I haven't a clue as to where to get this done. Any suggestions, particularly by those who have had big prints done, would be greatly appreciated.

Try emailing j_levine@calypsoinc.com @ Calypso Imaging here in the bay area. Calypso does huge prints for "who's Who" in nature photography. http://calypsoinc.com/ They dont have prints that large listed on their website, but have some hanging in their office. Joe will be able to guide you.

Jones and Morris photo enlarging in Toronto does prints this size, Warning, whoever does the job for you supply a sample print for colour /density match on the paper they will use.Hold them to the match before the job starts.

I believe Duggal uses an ultrawide format printer called a View tech (sp). They make great prints but are reletively low res. The print is going in a living room so viewing distance will be less than normal for aprint this size. For that reason, if I'm going to be going digital I would prefer a higher res inkjet -- I don't think they make Lambdas that go 72" wide. I'll try them and Bob's place on Monday and see what they can do.

I found a place that can do it the old school way -- enlarged on paper. If I go that route, I may wish to get a digital 11x14 neg made to cut down on the magnification.

When I find the place to do it I will give them a 20"x20", on the same material as the final as a 'go by', get them to commit to the colour and density, and will ask for a mag test.

Ooops missed this...

Duggal is a good place.

Nearer to you is Toronto, where there are several places that could do it. Plus, with the Canadian dollar exchange, you still get a 20% discount (not as good as the 50% discount last year though). Here are some:
